Who will be our future leaders? In a world of ever changing challenges- pandemics, lack of skilled workforce, depletion of natural resources, food insecurity, poverty…4-H is providing a foundation for youth to thrive and grow to be the leaders of the future.

Meet Paige, a 4-H youth in the Shasta View 4-H Club.  As a 4-H member, she has gained a passion for civic engagement and providing service to help support her communities.  That passion has led to her pursuing technical training in firefighting while completing High School. She will be ready to protect her communities.

The Siskiyou County 4-H Youth Development Program plays a key role in the development of young people and is a leader in creating opportunities for youth and adults to learn, grow, and work together as catalysts for positive change. The 4-H Youth Development Program engages youth in reaching their fullest potential through hands-on, community-based learning experiences related to Civic Engagement, Leadership, Healthy Living and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

Your donation will help us establish an endowment to keep 4-H thriving in Siskiyou County. With state funding for 4-H becoming smaller each year, your gift will help ensure Siskiyou County 4-H can continue to teach lifeskills and engage youth in learning opportunities. Last year we had 200 youth enrolled in 4-H and served an additional 150 youth through school enrichment and educational outreach programs. (Pre-pandemic we were reaching between 500-600 additional youth through school enrichment and outreach programs.)

This endowment is a fund that will be used to sustain 4-H programming in Siskiyou County.  Please become a supporter of the Forever 4-H Siskiyou County Endowment, we have secured a generous match of up to $10k to help grow the donations from our community.
